Relationships

There are times when I wonder what this is all about? I live through like most others in a marraige with a lot of strife and pain and at the same time great pleasure.. I suppose relationships are what they are when you live both parts - pleasure and pain in equal measure.

Understanding is where it comes down to and fails, inevitably. Egos and personalities come into play and we allow our basic instincts of self preservation and self agrandisement overcome our need to be calm, rational and sensitive to the partner's need when getting into situations of strife..leading to each saying bitter words which is never meant nor realised..

But, afterwards it is too late to take the words back.. It is no wonder the wise have stated that words and action once released are never recalled..Think before you say something and do something..

Wish I have learnt and applied it many a times in my life. But, I do have the courage to stand in the stage of life to acknowledge this failing of mine. Pray a lot more come forward with similar views..

When and where applicable, I have said sorry and will repeat the same. But, there are times when, magnanimity should be reciprocated and pray that happens in life..

Relationships are essential to live healthily and a good one is always a stress burster and not a stress builder..

NRI Hindu Mentality

Have you ever seen a bucket full of crabs? Not one will be allowed to crawl out of the bucket and the others will do their best to pull the one trying to get out back to the crowd and meander amongst them...

Like wise I have seen in some communities, mediocrity breeds the same sentiment. Neither will people try to get out of the rut nor will they show courage to move forward. They would rather stay where they are and continue to hurt others who try to move on. I have seen actually mediocrity breed even worse - total selflish and integrated back slapping & and back biting.. What I wonder about is if this is a phenomenon akin to all local communities or a special gene driven behaviour that is very much in select NRI community which is more associated with groupisms..

Why is the Sikh or Gujarati communities tightly knit and communal while we see that other hindu communities look for building power base and controls.. Any comments? When will the Indian stop crying Racist of the world when they are the most Racist species on earth? - It is always a Madrasi vs Punjabi, Gori Vs Kali, Mumbai wala Vs Culuttan and so on and so on.

I wish that we live as one community - Human Beings and live in harmony with courage to make a call when needed on subjects that matter and not fall prey to factionalism, favouratism etc. etc
